A huge thank you to you and the Meals program you direct for the elderly!
My mother-in-law is a widow living alone. She cannot drive and has very low vision. I am her only care-giver and live 8 minutes from her home.
She is a diabetic, has high blood pressure and is over weight.
One month ago her Dr. told her we had to get her numbers back under control and get her eating back in check without more drugs!
Naturally, I was frantic and someone told us about your program for seniors. After calling for 7 meals a week for "grandma" we cleaned out the cupboards and freezer and made a "deal" to do this Dianne's way for one month until the next Dr. Visit.
Grandma was grouchy about this at first but began to look forward to the delivery ladies and enjoyed the meals and the ease it provides about good food choices.
Our one month trail was over yesterday so we went to our Dr. visit holding our breath.
The Dr. was ecstatic! Grandma's blood pressure was down to normal, her weight had dropped 7 lbs and blood sugars are back in normal range. We give you credit for this wonderful program.
It makes it so we can help her stay in her own home and be healthier. The delivery ladies check in gives me a sense of reassurance that she is ok.
Keep up the good work and thank you so much! Grandma asked if we could keep doing the program!!! We were glad to say yes.

I very much enjoy and appreciate receiving Mid-Land meals because not only do I often not feel well enough to cook for myself but I have great difficulty grocery shopping due to my disability and without Mid-Land Meals I would often just eat toast for a meal. The Mid-Land meals are tasty and well-balanced and I feel I am healthier due to eating the variety of meats, veggies, & fruits they offer. I also appreciate that the driver is someone who checks up on me to make sure I am OK. Many days he is the only other person I see!
